JUL.15.2014: The Chamber and Neighborhood Council are hosting a neighborhood centennial kick-off celebration next Thursday evening, the 24th, at the Cincinnati Observatory Center.

JUN.1.2014: Special thanks to Frappier Creative for the new centennial logo design!

MAY.23.2014: 2015 will mark the centennial anniversary for East Hyde Park! First annexed by the City of Cincinnati in 1911 as a mostly vacant parcel of rolling prairie, it was in 1915 that developers established the identity of Hyde Park East – planning its streets and iconic pillars, and plotting the neighborhood parcels.  The advertisement below from the September 26, 1915 Enquirer  describes the first lots available for sale by William E. Harmon & Co. This was a destination community 100 years ago and remains so today.

The Chamber is actively planning centennial celebrations to be held throughout next year. Anyone interested in helping should contact any Chamber member business for details.
