The Chamber does not have any profit motive or similar private interest. The Chamber does not have a political agenda or purpose.

History

The East Hyde Park community has a proud history of successful local businesses. The Coffee Emporium was Ohio’s first gourmet coffee shop. Dutch’s Bottle Shop continues its 50+ year tradition of offering one of the area’s largest selections of craft beer, served cold in bottles straight off the storage dock. Tischbein Apothecary is going strong in its seventh decade as a community pharmacy. Hap’s Irish Pub is still the place to be every St. Patrick’s day.

It is this strong history of local commerce that earned this stretch of Erie Avenue official designation by the City of Cincinnati as a neighborhood business district. The Chamber carries on the work of the Hyde Park East Business Association – the group instrumental in the 1990′s streetscape project and ‘mudhole’ overhaul.
